LWB Program and Graduation Year:
Executive Leadership Class of 2018

Title/Company:
Associate Vice President, Emergency and Employee Health, Geisinger

Describe your LWB experience in three words or phrases:

  • Becoming part of the community
  • Connectedness to others
  • Leading great work

What are you doing in the community these days?
My husband and I are very involved in youth sports with our children. I serve on the Mountain Top Little League Board and my husband is a coach for baseball and basketball.

How do you spend your free time?
All of our free time is devoted to youth sports, our children’s friends and families. We enjoy being together, encouraging our children and creating memories and experiences for them and others in our community.

Current professional and/or professional goals:
Healthcare is a challenging and changing field right now because of the impact of the COVID pandemic. I hope to continue to be a leader at our organization, using innovation and the collaboration we have been relying on these past 12 months to move us into the future.

What advice would you give to current LWB participants?
Take advantage of the time and expertise afforded you during your LWB experience. Learn about the culture of our community, the challenges and opportunities, and connect that to your passions so that you can make a positive difference.

Anything else you’d like to share?
Not being from Pennsylvania, I had a lot to learn about this community. I didn’t see the value in that investment until I started taking leadership opportunities (first was Leadership Central Penn, then Executive Leadership Wilkes-Barre).
